I like summer, sun and water. That`s why my holiday trip in may goes to egypt for 2 weeks.

Yup, as part of an engineering internship.
Having a real good time here, even though it's already starting to get a bit cloudy/rainy the last days.

I know someone who worked in South Africa as a doctor but it was to dangerous there und so he moved to Germany again.

Can't blame him... lot's of my friends here got mugged or had stuff stolen out of their houses while they were sleeping. And the possibility of getting killed because you interrupted someone who is carrying your TV out of your house is a risk not too many people are willing to take.

I think I would not live here too. Don't get me wrong, I'm having a good time and Cape Town is a beautiful and awesome city - but that constant little fear in the back of your head, and the (necessesary) distrust against anybody you don't know are things I find it quite hard to get used to.

I can understand you absolutely. There is a very high risk to be killed or at least injured and if I were you, I would do the same.

This little fear in the back of your head could make you -in a kind of way- stressed because you have to be carefully everywhere and you have to fear that you could be injured.

Moreover, this fear makes it difficult just to relax after a hard day....

I like skiing in the winter, i was with my class in Austria...

I normally like summer more than wintermonths because of the temperature and I like swimming...
but this year, summer is so terrible - thunderstorms, rain, rain, rain and so on...

I like the winter, because he coveres the everything wonderfully with snow and that this sight is simply much more wonderful than a typical, sunny area.

I like the summer because of beaches, also I love the sundowns of evening in summer.

I used to prefere the summer to winter but during the last years it has been changed, because now i don't like too high temperatures anymore. The sun has become more agressive than before and i also became a small sun allergie.
Because of this i prefer the winter now , but it is far better with some snow , but only if you do not need to go outside or to work. I like the Christmas atmosphere and also New Year Nights with champagne.When there is some snow around the atmosphere and mood are different then as if there would not be any snow any snow.
The best in winter is to watch the falling snowflakes outside from inside the home , but only in case that the heating system is working and there is some hot wine punch available of course.

But somehow this year there is no real summer. The temperature is very low for summer and it rains very often.

I'm more a summer person because in winter I'm only sick.

It surely has it's advantages.
I don't know, I think I prefer winter, because it isn't so warm outside in winter.
On the other hand, summer does also have it's advantages.

I have been told quite some times now that if you live in a hot country like thailand, malaysia or similar for more than one year you might miss the snow, the cold air to breathe and the change of the seasons.

Not at all. When I was younger I did, but now I prefer spring. I hate snow and cold weather...

I absolutely love winter.... for about 2-3 months of the year :). I love skiing and snowshoing and live in a beautiful mountain region of Canada where I can do this in close proximity to my house. I do not love the darkness and the constant sicknesses that are common this time of year and I also do not love really cold temperatures.
